Ask Jen spent the day touring four brand new home communities on the Peninsula built by HHHunt Homes in the cities of Hampton, Newport News, and Gloucester. The Peninsula section of Hampton Roads is a booming area that offers great water access, and tons of things to do including Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Colonial Williamsburg. The Peninsula is just a quick trip through the Hampton Roads or the Monitor Merrimack Tunnels and is a great option for home buyers looking for great value.
The first stop on Jen’s Peninsula tour was the beautiful beachfront homes at Buckroe Bayfront located in Hampton. These homes have a sophisticated coastal flair and homeowners enjoy sidewalks and tons of outdoor recreation that living on the beach offers. There are only have two new homes left in this community! Both are the newest Westcott plan and feature three bedrooms, two and half baths, gourmet kitchen, and tons of designer options. The location provides convenience to our service members at Langley Air Force Base and Hampton University is nearby too.
Next stop on the tour is Carter Estates, located in Newport News, right down the street from Fort Eustis and the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station. This is a quaint community of only 20 homes nestled amongst the trees and features large homesites and gorgeous traditional style homes. With four different plans to choose from, HHHunt has homesites available to build your dream home starting at three bedrooms and up. Homeowners have the unique option of adding a wrap-around porch and a three-car garage to their home as well as a third floor. You can also add a screened porch to enjoy a bug-free summer of al fresco dining. Living in this area, you’ll be able to take advantage of the Newport News Park, a great place to spend the afternoon. The Chatham model is fantastic.
Cruising on over the Coleman Bridge towards Gloucester, Virginia, we make a stop at our new homesites in Hawthorn Green. These homes are situated on the serene Sarah’s Creek in Hayes, Virginia. Homeowners enjoy the community dock that makes the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon on the water. There are two homestyles to choose from, our popular Glenwood and Jarvis plans. Unique features of our homes include the wrap-around porches and three-car garage options as well as our low maintenance James Hardi Siding. Living here will feel like you’re in the country, but you’ll be a quick drive to Yorktown and Newport News where there are tons of fun things to do when you’re not working hard during the week. Yorktown is known for it’s historic charm and famous Riverwalk area.
Heading North on Rt. 17, our final stop today is River Club at Twin Island. Homebuyers here benefit from low maintenance and have created a wonderful retreat. You can choose from four different plans including the popular Randolph model with the master bedroom on the first floor. Residents at River Club enjoy breathtaking views from the gazebo overlooking the York River. There’s also a pool, clubhouse, and boaters can take advantage of a storage area for their boats. There’s even a private beach! Ask Jen about the amazing builder special on these homes!
HHHunt Homes, our builder of all of today’s featured homes, takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and well built homes. Building since 1992, they started in Richmond, Virginia and have expanded their homebuilding company to Hampton Roads and North Carolina. They are currently offering a military appreciation program for Veteran buyers and generous closing costs assistance when using their preferred lender and closing attorney.
And as a bonus, they are sponsoring our pup, Palmer, from the Norfolk SPCA. He is an 8 year old bull dog mix who is a very sweet, relaxed boy – looking for a snuggle buddy! He would do best in a home without other dogs, but is great with all people. HHHunt will pay the adoption fee if Palmer is adopted within the next two weeks.
