RW Foundation Raises $3500 for Military Charities

We had a great turn out for the annual bowl-a-thon to support our military. With your help we were able to raise over $3400 for our two charities, The Wounded Warriors Project and Gold Star Moms.

The team with the highest team score was from the Chesapeake Office – Strike Force – who received $500 to donate to the charity of their choice, Our House Families.

The team that raised the most money came from our Accounting Department – The Bad ASSets – who also received $500 to donate to the charity of their choice, Friends of the Virginia Beach Animal Control.

The event was held at the AMF Western Branch on Sunday, September 22. We had almost half the bowling alley filled with Rose and Womble Foundation Bowlers, including teams from Chesapeake, Lynnhaven, Holland Road, New Homes, Suffolk/Harbour View, Marketing, Accounting, Property Management, Advance Financial Group, and a team from Fed Ex Logistics.

We would also like to thank the following sponsors of the event:

Cox Communications
2-10 Home Warranty
First American
PKA Structural Engineers

Darlene Kelly from our Suffolk Property Management office and Mona Gunn from our Holland Road Resale Office were the representatives for Gold Star Mothers at the event. Gold Star Mothers is a group for mothers of fallen military personnel. The ladies were on hand to receive a check from the Rose and Womble Foundation.

Thanks for everyone’s support and look for news about the Foundation’s next project – the annual Turkey Brigade beginning next week!
