Rose & Womble New Homes represents four terrific builders within Summer Park: Stephen Alexander Homes, Christopher Kait Construction, Rob The Builder, and DSF. Having a variety of builders within a neighborhood allows for freedom of choice. Between the four builders there is bound to be a home you’ll fall in love with.
1927 Burson Drive
The first home Jen visited is built by Rob the Builder (who is actually the “Rob”of Rob Lang Homes). This is a one of a kind home that backs up the the wooded wetlands with mature trees. This doesn’t happen too often with new construction and it a home that a family can celebrate living in. With four bedrooms and two and half baths there is plenty of room for family living. The floor plan is spacious, open, and inviting. There is a spectacular kitchen with upgraded stainless appliances, granite countertops. Hardwood floors, detailed trim work, and a large family room with fireplace are just some of the luxurious items that Rob the Builder has put within the home.
1733 Rockwood Drive
The next home on the tour is this beauty from Stephen Alexander Homes, an award-winning home builder. Over the years, Stephen Alexander Homes has appeared in various spring and fall Homearamas. In addition, they have received numerous industry awards and accolades, all of which are a testament to making homeowners in Hampton Roads happy! Their work in Summer Park has been featured in the Virginian Pilot.
Stephen Alexander Home is using it’s Cottage Collection for Summer Park. This exclusive historic inspired home collection boasts more included features than you would expect to find in homes at this price point. These homes are ultra efficient (green) affordable homes that “live” like their 3000 square foot cousins. Who says a smaller house can’t have a 14′ x 18′ family room or a 17′ x 13′ kitchen. These home plans live as large as our big homes and and are by nature a better value.
The home being built at 1733 Rockwood Drive will be a Caramel Cottage. The home will have a bedroom on the first floor, and a finished room over the garage. While under 3,000 square feet, this home has a big house feel, with open floor plans, and tons of natural light. 1733 Rockwood Drive will be ready to move in by December 2015, giving you plenty of time to customize finishes and add personal details.
1969 Rockwood Drive
Another feature builder is Christopher Kait Construction, who focuses on craftsman style home with amazing features like wrap-around porches. Since starting Christopher Kait Construction in 2007, owner Ryan Rose has created a tradition of being a hands on builder by focusing on the unique design, style and craftsmanship of each home he builds and paying close attention to the needs and desires of each of his homeowners. His philosophy is to look at each home as an opportunity to make a dream come true for the buyer. Every home he builds is not just a business transaction, it is the start of a relationship between Christopher Kait Construction and the homeowner. He was also a featured home builder in last fall’s Home-a-rama.
The move-in ready farmhouse at 1969 Rockwood Drive is a perfect example of this. Beautifully laid out home, including downstairs flex room, which could be used for an office or additional bedroom, large kitchen with granite countertops, and wrap around porch for sipping ice tea while enjoying your extra large yard. This is a great home to raise a family, and Summer Park is in the desirable Grassfield school district.
1952 Burson Drive
The final home on our tour is built by DSF Development, who specializes in Affordable New Construction, finding great lots throughout Hampton Roads and building wonderful new homes. At DSF Development, they include many items in their homes that most other builders consider “upgrades.” Whether it’s granite countertops, ceramic tile shower surrounds, tray ceilings or crown molding, our features and affordable pricing make your home buying decision easy.
The house at Summer Park is available now and move in ready! This is a five bedroom, two and half bath home, with three floors! Some unique features are a stunning eat in kitchen with granite and custom cabinets, very cool bamboo hardwood floors on first level. The backyard is fenced in and perfect for both your two & four legged kids!
