For this week’s #AskJenLive, Jen visited the new home community of Shadowlawn North in the Beach Borough section of Virginia Beach. These condos offer carefree living and great access to some of the most popular attractions in Virginia Beach.
Shadowlawn North is built by Bishard Homes, who is known for its blend of Southern and Coastal Living architectural styles that integrate well with surrounding neighborhoods. Bishard Homes specializes in building homes in sought-after resort communities in close proximity to the water, and Shadowlawn North is a reflection of this. This community has great design details, including beautiful shutters and carriage style garages.
Bishard Homes is known for providing great new homes at affordable prices. Lots of home owners dream of living at the beach, and Bishard Homes prices its house with today’s home buyer in mind. Shadowlawn North is on a private cul-de-sac, with plenty of parking, and some houses have very large backyards. Make sure to buy early for first and best selection of the homes available.
The featured home is located at 939 12th Street. It is a three bedroom and three and half bath home with three levels of great living. The first level is a two-car garage that also has a game room that could be a bedroom, perfect for guests or a roommate. The second floor is an open floor plan with beautiful hardwood floors, granite in the kitchen, and built in bookcases in the living room. The third floor features a master suite with spa-like bathroom and an additional bedroom. The homes in Shadowlawn North all have 9 foot ceilings, recessed lighting, and two-car attached garages. The kitchens feature granite countertops and Kenmore appliances.
Beach living but still close to everywhere is one of the advantages of Shadowlawn North’s location. Shadowlawn North is located in the Beach Borough section in Virginia Beach which is only a short bike ride to the famous Virginia Beach oceanfront.
You can dine at favorite local places like, The Raven Restaurant – a veteran eatery serving American chow & seafood in low-key digs with a bar, patio & gift shop. There is always something going on at the Oceanfront, Beach Street USA is constantly hosting festivals and outdoor concerts. Plus there is great local shopping nearby and you’re close to the popular Hilltop Shopping section. Want to check out Norfolk or Portsmouth? Just hop on 264 and you can be there in a manner of minutes.
#AskJenLive always features a pup of the week. Today’s pup is Bey, a 9-year-old Jack Russell with some challenges. The vet at the Norfolk SPCA wants her to lose a few, but a daily walk to the oceanfront will help shed those pounds. She was surrendered by her owner of nine years so she’s looking for a home to spend her golden years. Who doesn’t want to retire at the beach? Today’s feature builder, Bishard Homes, will be covering the adopting fees for if the pup is adopted within the next two weeks.
